Gourmet Coffee

Coffee has become more than a beverage, it has become a hobby. While it is sought out for its energizing caffeine boost to get the average working class citizen through their tiresome day, the plethora of gourmet coffees now available to the public have made it an experience for the taste buds.

Gourmet coffees are imported from every corner of the world, ranging from Hawaii to East Africa, each location carrying a unique blend of fruits and nutty flavors, combined with the perfect acidity; each blend containing the signature of its origin.

Coffee originates from the seed of a cherry that grows from an evergreen tree. This specific type of evergreen tree grows within a subtropical belt, which circles the Earth. These cherries contain two seeds—the well-known coffee bean. The seeds are removed, roasted, and packaged. Then they can be exported to all places around the world.

The two most common coffee species are Robusta and Arabica. Robusta, found in lower altitudes, contains a much harsher flavor with much more caffeine within the bean. Arabica, on the other hand, found in higher altitudes, contains a smoother taste with a lesser amount of caffeine.

The flavor of the coffee is partially due to the varying roasting times. Beans that are roasted longer have a much stronger taste. Some of the most popular roasts are American, Italian, European, and more.

With the exciting variety of gourmet coffee now available, it is no wonder that coffee is the most popular fruit juice throughout the world.
